Instructor

Instructors lead classes for children ages 8 months to 9 years in a variety of disciplines including gymnastics, music, cooking, science and theater. Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead recreational activities • Ensure classroom and/or activity area is safe for participants and instructors • Provide class instruction and demonstrates knowledge, skill and ability in specific area(s) of expertise • May assist in developing lesson plans with Program Director as requested. • Ensure that all participants are registered participants. • Class preparation work and other projects as requested by management. Kids U offers a fun, friendly environment to work in and expects every employee to contribute to that culture. This is an excellent springboard into the field of education! You will gain experience by developing lessons, collaborating with instructors, class management and more. Qualifications: • Maintains current First Aid and CPR certificates, and other related teaching or coaching certifications (e.g. gymnastics, yoga, etc) • Must communicate in a courteous, knowledgeable and tactful manner with participants, staff and general public • Experience in working with children and parents • Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
