Mommy & Me Gym

Each day is a new discovery in this fun-filled class. Your child will experience all apparatus in the gym (bars, beam, floor mats, trapeze bar, rings, vault, rock climbing wall and trampoline). Songs and games allow the child to experience swinging, bouncing, rolling, jumping and climbing. The use of balls, ribbons, parachutes and other hand-eye activities enable the child to further develop fine motor skills, rhythm and listening skills.  Each class will end with a musical segment and a story.

This non-competitive program provides and fun and challenging gymnastics environment.  The program is designed to assist youngsters in motor development, rhythm, strength, coordination, group social skills and developing self-confidence.  By using easy to follow circuits (to keep the children moving) and large gymnastics apparatus (bars, beam, floor, vault, rope, trampoline and rings), new skills are learned each week.

This Kids U class is an introduction to the world of sports for your child. The class combines a gym curriculum with an introduction to fundamental ball skills. Our aim is to create a passion for ball games that your child will have for the rest of his/her life. It will focus on gross motor skills and sports terminology. Children will be introduced to ball skills for baseball, soccer, lacrosse, football, and more. All equipment will be provided.

The Kids U Lego class offers kids a fun, Lego-filled, environment that encourages their creative, problem-solving, team-working, communication and social skills. The structure of each class is designed around a process to engage students’ imaginations and build their self confidence. Each week students will collaborate with one another to design, build and test their inventions. Programming is based upon the LEGO Education curriculum.  (LEGO®, the LEGO logo, and the brick and knob configuration are trademarks of the LEGO Group. This programs is not authorized, sponsored or endorsed by the LEGO Group.)

Younger children enjoy hands-on fun learning basic cooking and baking techniques. For older children, science and math skills are the foundation for the cooking activities in this class. Safety is emphasized while preparing delicious, healthy, seasonal recipes.

Children connect with the world around them! Hands on projects, discovery experiments and scientific vocabulary are integrated through science themes such as insects, plant life, spiders, and many more.

Our little Yogis class helps to nourish each child's mind, breath and body while promoting an overall sense of health and well-being! This class gives children a solid foundation in the practice of yoga while engaging their natural energy and enthusiasm. We will explore yoga positions, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and meditation techniques while conveying lessons in mindfulness, self-regulation, respect and positive thinking. Classes are tailored to meet the developmental needs of each child.

Campus Kids Program

Kids U is launching its Campus Kids Program - a preschool alternative program for 3-5 year olds meeting 1-5 days per week for 3 hours per day.   The curriculum allows your child to build social skills and friendships with peers while participating in a gymnastics class followed by either an art class or a cooking class.  Children gain self confidence as they express themselves creatively, learn new concepts and enhance their fine and gross motor skills.  Following the classes, your child will eat lunch at our facility and then will have supervised play and games in our PlayQuad. .
